Tricaru still takes around 1min/run, I can tell you that people can use Taor it'd be faster if he wasn't too derp. At least, makes these units use specific skills or in specific orders. I know you want variety results in pvp contents so just do this in pve contents only.

I'm still having difficulty with a safe db12 (safe db 10 now though) and guardsmen now at level 7. Just curious what is your consistent (never takes a loss) Necro B12 team.. what monsters do you use? Tricaru and verde. Used Lus-water twin-shaina-shaman (nuke build). I made good progress in those 2 months but man did it get tiring. I have 0 determination runes and my team works. If you can farm DB12 with a slow team with Elsharion to get 6* star guard runes you can do it. I didn't even farm those for tricaru runes, I just kept every rune with def% sub and rolled them. For a starter tricaru you would want determination sets (mainly from crafts). You want any (ideally) 6* def% rune for slots 2/4/6 and slot 1 runes can have any subs (since no defense). The hard ones are slots 3 and 5. You can use guard runes or broken sets that roll defense on those slots in the beginning.The only chance for a Tricaru team to fail, once runed correctly, is to miss the def break for multiple rounds! So once you have the correct runes you should perhaps fail 1 run in 100000. If your team fails - your runes are not correct. All runes will be re-evaluated again at their max potential (purple @+9, legend@+12). I usually know if it is something ill keep if it has good rolls into useful stats / high rolls as well. One way to evaluate is by deciding on the spot which monster u can use for this rune. I keep less than 10% of the rolled runes.

Tricaru is an important monster, but wasting your crystals on a rune that will probably not roll how you want it to is not a solid strategy. Just farm DB12 for now and get a ton of Guard runes. Having a tricaru team on a 1.5year account sounds impressive! I'm playing for over five years and just this week I was finally able to make it happen, and it was a pretty close call at that. For my runes I am using 1 determination set to make it easier to fit all the fight sets plus an accuracy set. I also have some Skill 1 Accuracy from artifacts on the 2 lowest acc Icaru. ... to make fight boosters like fight teon/kona etc. Farming fight is way better than determination since it isn't just for tricaru. You just get tricaru runes ...
I also didn't think the rune requirement was that high where it required "good" runes, but that could also just be an amount of playing/farming issue that I have already no-lifed through. Either way I didn't mean to imply that tricaru was bad, just that skilling them up might not be the best use of materials.
Considering most people would lose their rune farming teams there really isnt any compensation that would be enough really if they were to nerf ... Maybe to the point of you actually having to build a "real" db12 team to get good guard runes before you can build the tricaru.Rifts are also pretty funny because you only need rage on your main damage dealer and the casual grind for fight runes can give you SSS on its own.
